"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."Matthew 5:6
"These are the Be-attitudes, not the Do-attitudes. Being comes before doing, for what we do is always determined by who we are." (The Joshua Code). I haven't ever given this particular verse much thought. It's interesting to consider the deeper meaning of it...that to "hunger and thirst for righteousness" isn't just a rule to follow. But that, because we are believers, we will be blessed when we do. It's because of who we are that we realize our need for righteousness. A need for something that is not of ourselves...Something only He is able to provide.
